Leader of the “National Unity” political party Artashes Geghamyan announced during the party session on Saturday that he is going to run for president in the 2008 Armenian presidential elections. Geghamyan also assured his partisans that “National Unity” is going to win in the parliamentary elections to be held on May 12. However, he did not mention what percentage of votes the “winning” “NU” intends on getting and what percentage it considers a “victory”.
