Armenia is a country based on lie, fraud, illegitimacy, and there are few such countries in the world which have no prospects. This evaluation was given by Vazgen Manukyan, the leader of the National Democratic Union, which will not run for parliament. Nevertheless, Vazgen Manukyan insists that he’s going to support those opposition parties, which have common ideological approaches about the future of Armenia. In this situation, Vazgen Manukyan made a move which he thinks is right – he defies the game which has no prospects. The NDU will struggle for a change in the country but outside the parliament. “I think the unification of the political forces is not enough to solve the problem. Different layers of the society must come together around certain ideas, and we will be pursuing this,” Vazgen Manukyan says. According to him, it is necessary to create a mindset network in Armenia. In this relation he says his political initiative with Raffi Hovannisian will continue but the period of the election is not the best time for it because political problems hinder civil moods. The leader of the NDU also stated that their approach is not a boycott, they did not make an appeal to other parties, and they called the citizens to make their own decision to vote or not. Vazgen Manukyan says he will support the figures with whom he shares ideas and biography, such as Stepan Demirchyan, Aram Sargsyan, Samvel Babayan, Raffi Hovannisian. Manukyan also stated that he’s going to Participate in the Presidential elections 2008.
