Ball to the left and to the right…

Broken cars of the subway, broken jaws, several people in the hotels, many others in the police… These are the consequences of the super cup championship of Russia’s BKMA and Spartak soccer match, which took place on Saturday. Everybody predicted that it’s going to be a tense match. Besides this match the warring opponents played matches in Israel a few times. After those matches the sports web sites have become a war field for Spartak and BKMA fans. As the fans promised the verbal arguments were supposed to turn into a real arm fight. The situation got even more tensed during the miserable games of the two teams for the UEFA cup. And even if the BKMA lost to the Israeli team and Spartak lost to the Spanish average team, those failures have even more tensed the disputes of the fans of those teams. It’s senseless to ask where the police was at that time because the police works the same in all CIS countries. Although it was possible to prevent the hand fighting of Saturday. Moreover, the mass fights have risen even before the match and in different parts of the city. But the police wasn’t able to prevent the real mess. However, they are doing such a better job when trying to punish or prevent the business of innocent Azerbaijani merchant at the market or a Moldavian landscape worker. Perhaps this fight is not going to be the last because the soccer season is just starting. On Saturday the national championship is starting…

The championship is proceeding in CIS countries. More accurately in those countries, which have adopted the fall-spring system. Of course the passions and the tenseness are so much different from the ones in Russia. In Ukraine Kiev’s Dinamo and Donetsk’s Shakhtyor have been contesting for over a year. However there are no such fights in there. Everything is more serious in Georgia. Several teams simultaneously are striving for the champion’s title.

Armenia and Azerbaijan will also soon start their championships. The most interesting thing of those countries is that they are going to compete against each other during the European championship. No one knows how they are going to compete. Armenians are offering to organize dual visits but Azerbaijan doesn’t wish to give any security warranties. Instead they are offering to conduct those games in Turkey and Ukraine.

Similar championships are going to be launched in other CIS countries. Almost all the CIS countries have a ticket to participate in the European championship. Perhaps Russia will be able to participate with honor although the national team plays very badly. It’s not going to be easy to play with Italy, France and Scotland. I wonder whether it would be possible to theoretically imagine the former USSR team to the championship? I wonder how it would look like. The goalkeeper would perhaps be BKMA’s goalkeeper, Akinfeyev. The defenders would probably be Georgian Asatiani, from BKMA Berezutski brothers and Ukrainian Nesmachni. The attackers would probably be Russian Kerjakov, Arvelidze and Shevchenko. 1-2 players will be from other states.
