“The Dashnaktsutiun is not preparing Arthur Aghabekyan as a candidate for the Nagorno-Karabakh presidential elections. There is no such plan. That is a lie,” said vice-speaker of the National Assembly, Dashnak Vahan Hovhannisyan during a press conference on Wednesday. Hovhannisyan said that as expected, Aghabekyan was enlisted in the ARF proportional electoral list along with non-partisans and businessmen.
“The ARF Supreme Body is participating in the elections and it will present the list. I am not a member of the Supreme Body and I don’t know anything else about the list. We will all find out,” he said, adding that he personally is not planning to be nominated in the majority electoral system. Later, it turned out that Vahan Hovhannisyan heads the majority electoral list.
