According to our information, “Vedanta resources” company is going to sell “Ararat Gold Mining Enterprise” (AGME), i.e. the Armenian government wants them to sell it.ey said that Russia was going to invest in the Armenian mining businesses. According to our information, the Armenian government intends to give the AGME plants to Russians. By the way, they were informed about it one month ago. Furthermore, the Indian owners of the company have told their employees to find new jobs and their children have told their school friends that they were going to leave from the country since their factory would be solved. The director of AGME, Vardan Vardanyan told us during our phone conversation that he didn’t have any information like that. It is worth mentioning that last year the ministry of environmental preservations checked up the activities of the mentioned enterprise and found many violations there. The company has brought case against the ministry, which is in process now. The gold content percentage is high in the Sodk mines (8 grams in one tone). During these 12 years the Indian owners had to mine 50 tones of gold. It is worth mentioning that the word prices of gold are growing.
