Yesterday RL deputy chairman Mher Shahgeldyan said that their party was going to make its final decision on the campaigning policy during the upcoming parliamentary election basing on the recommendations of their regional headquarters. This means that the RL leaders have not decided yet whether they are going to participate in the elections alone or join other powers. Arthur Baghdasaryan says that almost all the oppositional parties want to join them, but they haven’t made a final decision yet. Notwithstanding, Mr. Baghdasaryan does not want to say which those parties are. We asked Suren Surenyants, member of “Republic” party board, whether they wanted to join the RL, to which he replied, “No, we don’t want to join any parties. Our party has only made a suggestion to oppositional parties to have oppositional candidates in all the 41 precincts so that we can empower the opposition. When we speak about empowering the opposition we mean that the oppositional parties should be empowered basing on that idea. I mean that we made our suggestion openly and if there are any parties that agree with us, we will collaborate with them. If they don’t agree, we will not collaborate. We have just suggested them and the possible collaboration depends on their answer”
