Armenian President Robert Kocharian awarded many orders and medals on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the formation of the Armenian Army on Friday. Deputy Minister of Defense of Armenia and General/Lieutenant Arthur Aghabekyan received a 1st degree medal for “Services to the Homeland”, while Vrezh Israelyan received a 2nd degree medal. First Deputy of the General Headquarters of the Armenian Army and General/Major Enrico Apriamov received a military ranking, while department head of the Yerevan State Medical University named after Heratsi, general director of the “Arabkir” hospital and doctor of medical sciences Ara Babloyan received the Mkhitar Heratsi medal for his “significant investment” in the organizing of the extra-hospitalized treatment of soldiers.
