While the media and the political circles are discussing the versions of the proportional lists of the most “favorite” parties – Republican Party of Armenia and the Prosperous Armenia; the contradictions and agreements among themselves, another party, which is also part of current government – the Armenian Revolutionary Federation has already undertaken the filming of various pre-election videos and films. The pre-election PR of this party is strongly focused on the achievements of ARF in the executive branch. For that purpose certain videos are being filmed about the activity of certain ARF ministers. According to our source, the main aim of the ARF is to ensure that the public considers the ARF not a party, which is linked to the government but only a party, which has slightly favorable relations with the government. Consequently they are attempting to avoid responsibility. To say that this step is novelty in Armenia’s politics wouldn’t be right because the same thing was done by the former coalition member, Legal State party, which were fully benefiting from the levers of government on their behalf and meanwhile criticizing the government.
