There will be only one candidate nominated for Charentsavan city mayor’s position. The mentioned candidate is the son of ARP member Kovalenko Shahgaldyan, Hakob Shahgaldyan. He had only one competitor, who represented ULP and recently recalled his candidacy complaining that he had been threatened and he had done hat for the purpose of escaping conflicts. Concerning this CEC head Garegin Azaryan says that they are not informed about it and if there were any conflicts, journalists and the CEC would know about it first. Garegin Azaryan says that democratic elections mean a choice between several candidates and recommended the parliament to amend the law to make it impossible to organize elections with one candidate only
