On January 17, the Central and Nork-Marash communities’ first instance court will hear the case of Levon Abrahamyan against Culture Minister of Armenia Hasmik Poghosyan. The former director of the Chamber Music Theatre Levon Abrahamyan wants the court to recognize the minister’s order, according to which he was removed as director of the theatre, as invalid. As a matter of fact, a new director has already been appointed. Levon Abrahamyan says that he has personally told the chamber theatre staff to welcome the new director just like they would anyone. In the meantime, Abrahamyan is getting ready for the trial. Levon Abrahamyan believes that the order of the culture minister is absurd and one of the reasons that he was removed from his post is that nobody trusts Abrahamyan anymore.
