Bush nominated Hoagland again

17/01/2007

According to “Associated Press”, U.S. President George Bush nominated Richard Hoagland for the post of U.S. Ambassador to Armenia again. It is worth mentioning that this is the second time that the U.S. Senate International Relations commission has disapproved the nomination of Richard Hoagland. Senator Robert Menendez stopped the confirmation of R. Hoagland, while a month ago head of the Democrat faction of the Senate Harry Reid sent a letter to U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, asking her to call back Hoagland’s nomination. During the end of the term of the previous Congress, the Senate gave the president the nomination of Hoagland back. The U.S. President has once again nominated Hoagland for the confirmation of the present 110th summit of the Congress.
