The more the elections are coming up, the more the political powers use different PR strategies and tools. Concerning the influence on Russia it is thought in Armenia that they mainly publish articles in foreign papers. Usually such articles are accepted and discussed in Armenia as a message by the given reporter that is supported by either of the biggest states. It is not by chance that in the recent period there were many interviews published in Russian and European different papers. This is the manner how Armenians accepted the article of RA defense minister Serj Sargsyan published in “The Wall Street Journal”. Thus, they think that by publishing that article the Americans inform about their approach to the upcoming presidential elections in Armenia and Serj Sargsyan’s candidacy during the elections. It is interesting that the mentioned article mainly concerned one of the issues that the Americans and their establishment are interested in, i.e. the Armenian-Turkish relations.
