U.S. President George Bush has called on Armenia and Azerbaijan to peacefully resolve the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. According to the Azerbaijani APA agency, George Bush made his announcement regarding this during his meeting with Azerbaijani Ambassador to the U.S. Yashar Aliev while receiving his credentials. The U.S. President has emphasized that the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan continues to disturb the peace in the Southern Caucasus region and has called on the sides to peacefully resolve the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. The U.S. respects Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity.
“Being one of the co-chairman countries of the OSCE Minsk Group, the U.S., along with Russia and France, will keep working with the Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents to quickly resolve the Nagorno Karabakh conflict peacefully,” mentioned Bush.
