According to head of the education department of the Yerevan municipality Onik Vatyan, this year, once again, the spring and winter vacations have been grouped into one winter vacation, starting from December 25 and ending on Janurary 21, 2007. The school year will end on May 25, 2007. These days the department is discussing the 2007-2008 school year plans, according to which the state will provide funding for the reconstruction of 32 schools next year. It is worth mentioning that the amount provided is three times more than that of 2006.
