Yesterday “Rule of Law” faction member Hovhannes Margaryan said in the parliament during the questions and answers session that the “air tax” that is collected in the airport from passengers has not been transferred to the budget. The deputy assures that the mentioned sum covers 150 million dram ($400k). The minister of finance and economy, Vardan Khachatryan took the responsibility to answer to the mentioned question and before answering he spoke about Heghine Bisharyan’s announcement that the monthly income of the transport and connection minister sums $200, that of the finance minister – $40k and that of the education minister – $10k. “We can just argue those who have told such things to prove officially that we have so much income. If they have said that, they’d better to prove it. That is nonsense; one shouldn’t speak things without any facts. This is a high place to speak from”, said Mr. Khachatryan and added concerning “air tax”, “Note that according to the tax collection mechanism that operates now all taxes are paid to the accounts of the budget. When people pay taxes, they automatically transfer the payment to the given bank account, which is a part of the budget too. In other words it is nonsense to say that one can grab that money. This means that you are so far from administration systems that you feel like in dreams. I wander what you will do when you become a part of the government with this way of thinking. Do you think that budget is something full of money and people can do anything they like with it? Please think deeper, I understand the fact that you are confused… you are in climax…”.
