“I didn’t take part in the meeting, but the Armenian and Azeri presidents and foreign affairs ministers say that the meeting was effective” yesterday said Serj Sargsyan concerning the recent meeting of Kocharyan and Aliev and added that the fact that the meeting was considered to be effective did not mean yet that the problem was solved. “I think there will be difficulties during the next discussions too. That is why we have always said that the solution of this problem will be very difficult and we have to compromise. If it were easy, we would settle the conflict before”, said Mr. Sargsyan. Answering to a question whether the conflict would be settled in 2007 or not the defense minister said, “It is hard to say concrete things. I want it very much, but I can’t predict whether it will happen in 2007 or not”.
