Yesterday RA National Assembly approved the budget for 2007 (77 votes for, 3 votes against and 6 abstained). The income part of the budget sums 490.2 billion dram, and the expenses part – 558.7 billion dram. In consideration of the USD exchange rate considered in the budget (357 AMD for one USD) the budget exceeds 1,5 billion USD. In fact, Galust Sahakyan’s prediction that after adopting the new Constitution the budget of Armenia would exceed one billion dollar has come true. Nevertheless, this didn’t happen due to reformations that the government expected, but due to currency exchange rate changes. Anyway, the coalition does not care about it. As it is said, outcome is more important than the means.
