Armenian film budget reaches half a million dollars

The Armenian Public Television /Radio Company is producing a film called “Don’t be Scared” dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the declaration of Armenia’s independence and the formation of the army. The film will be ready in January/February of the upcoming year.

“The film is about a boy from Yerevan who, based on the circumstances, finds himself in Karabagh and goes from being an average soldier to a commander. The film also features the events that were taking place in Yerevan and the battle field during the Karabagh war,” said president of the Armenian Public Television/Radio Company Alexan Harutyunyan. There won’t be any well-known Armenian actors playing in the film. The main characters are Khoren Levonyan (grandchild of actor Khoren Abrahamyan) and Lusine Tovmasyan. According to Harutyunyan, the film’s budget is nearly half a million dollars.
