“Vimpel Com” company doesn’t exclude the possibility that it might subsequently involve a local company for the sake of further development of the company. This information was publicized by the executive deputy-director, Nikolay Pryanishnikov. He said that during 2007 the company will clarify its strategy of development beyond the limits of CIS. At present the company is not represented in the following CIS countries – Azerbaijan, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan and Belarus. In his words, these markets are more interesting for the company. The company is not thinking of buying new companies in remote international states but the management believes that it will be very profitable for the company. It will most probably be expedient to represent a complex company in the distant countries. Currently, the company is discussing issues related to the access to the Moldavian market. Pryanishnikov added that the company hasn’t made a decision on its further activity in the direction of Armentel’s fixed communication. The company, however, decided to separate the fixed telecommunication from the mobile service.
