The Armenian Ramkavar Liberal Party (ARLP) has announced that it is leaving the Armenian World Congress. Let’s recall that the Armenian World Congress was founded in 2003 and head of the Union of Armenians of Russia Ara Abrahamyan is the president: The Ramkavar party is a member of the Congress. “Just like the rest of the founding party leaders, the ARLP also approved the process of this pan-Armenian organization. Despite the fact that the Congress members were against having the Russian Justice Ministry register the pan-Armenian organization, however the priority to solve Armenian issues and development were much more important,” as stated in the announcement made by the ARLP. According to the republican administrative staff of the ARLP, what happened later was disappointing. They talked about the disorganized and irresponsible work done by the Armenian World Congress. “The ARLP administration has applied to the Armenian World Congress many times with the purpose of asking for a report on the annual activities, however it hasn’t received a reply yet,” say members of the ARLP. Taking that into consideration and the working style of the Armenian World Congress, the ARLP has decided to leave the Congress. The party announces that it is no longer going to be held responsible for the actions of the Congress.
