This is what Garnik Isagulyan, adviser to the RA president on security issues, said in “Azdak” club on Saturday. We wonder whether it doesn’t make a difference that political powers are giving potato and grain to villagers. “They used to do that before too. Before, people were taken to some places, and now they are being given some products. Even if they are doing that for certain purposes other than pre-election purposes, it will not bring to any positive results,” assures the presidents’ adviser. The latter assures that the currently, there is no such thing as a political life. He says that the political organizations, which have not understood yet that “political oppositional actions, political dialogues or political debates are done on specific issues but not generally” are to blame, however, they organized their actions against some personalities. G. Isagulyan says that those parties don’t work with citizens and the society in any manner in the regions of Armenia. The president’s adviser thinks that when there is no competition before elections and parties don’t get into political debates or dialogues, the outcome of elections become predictable. “In such conditions the results will be the same; they will criticize the authorities in undermining their actions and not letting them move forward, while they should work now and campaign so that they can reach some results during the upcoming elections”, said Mr. Isagulyan. Mr. isagulyan means those political powers, which, as he says, can’t do anything else but blaming and criticizing. “It is logical that those parties cannot collect enough votes to overcome the vote limit and have places in the parliament”, assures the president’s adviser. The latter says that some parties spread information in the press that their parties have over 50-60 thousand members… The president’s advisor recommends going to the regions and finding out whether they have at least one member in each region or not. “If their institutional capacity is not developed now, how are they going to work in the future?” asked the president’s adviser. The latter assures that there is no pressure on political powers in Armenia now and there is no intimidation either. “If there are arguments, please mention concrete facts. If there is anyone that says he is not provided with anything necessary, I am ready to visit them at once with journalists and find out what the matter is. Such problems can be solved very quickly” said G. Isagulyan. The latter said that the quality level of Mass Media institutions was not adequate in Armenia. He says that the press complicates issues and makes a big deal out of things that aren’t that complicated. We wonder what the president’s adviser has recommended the president in the framework of our national security connected with the decision to give the Iran-Armenia gas pipeline to the Russians. Concerning this question Mr. Isagulyan said that there hadn’t been any concrete conversation with anyone concerning the 40 kilometers long part of the gas pipeline.
