During the briefings held at the National Assembly on October 27, Gegham Manukyan of the ARF faction has assured that his party wasn’t part of the terrorist act that took place at the National Assembly on October 27, 1999.

“Nobody should accuse the ARF of participating in the terrorist act because ARF has been one of the political powers that has tried to keep the everything stable in the political and social life of Armenia,” said G. Manukyan.

According to him, it’s not right to take advantage of the annual commemorations and blame the party and then shake hands with the member of the given party the day after.

“That shouldn’t form a part of the country’s political and social life,” said the ARF MP.

It’s worth mentioning that some of the perpetrators of the terrorist acts of October 27, 1999 have had something to do with the ARF, but according to some testimonies, after the terrorist acts the terrorist group called one of the leaders of the ARF Hrant Markaryan to report about the murders.
