There are almost 920 communities in Armenia, most of which have 100-200 citizens. The government has finally understood that it is spending too much money by paying the salaries of over 900 community heads and their deputies. The government has found a solution and is going to unite some small communities. The community heads are concerned about this. “Communities are happy to be given rights, but as soon as you want to take some rights from them, they may not agree with you”, says Seiran Avagyan, advisor to the president.
