Who’s behind them?

Leader of the National Democratic Union Vazgen Manukyan has complained to the “Electoral Systems Center” in a statement. Last week, the center removed his name and last name from the list of ratings of presidential candidates from the website, claiming that some of Manukyan’s friends had voted incorrectly.

“I must say that I have always been in 1st place based on the number of votes for ratings and I have always had double the amount of ratings then the always changing 2nd place candidates. So, none of my allies had any reason to illegally vote for me (I don’t even know what that means). Besides that, making an announcement like this and trying to be an objective judge contradicts the international principles by which the website functions and that means violating the voting rights of thousands of voters, offending citizens who have voted for me. This also gets me to thinking that the organization administration can go ahead and write any number it wants in front of the presidential candidate’s name. What’s the meaning of all this? Who’s behind the people who are doing this? Isn’t this based on the desire of a certain person, or an order from some people, or perhaps there were some financial issues? I am just predicting and I don’t want to get ahead of myself.”

Manukyan’s statement is also aimed towards the international organizations, which finance the “Electoral Systems Center” and calls on them to pay attention to all this and draw conclusions. Manukyan has also called on all mass media and recommended investigating and demanding facts and proofs from the center administration. “I suggest that journalists pay close attention to the center’s voting process and control the people who actually want to be the judge and have an influence on public opinion,” said leader of the NDU.
