Turkish, Azeri and French governments, the European Commission, the vice-president of the European Parliament, the editor of “Akos” paper and others have criticized the French Senate for approving the bill for penalizing anyone in France who denies the Armenian Genocide with a 1 year sentencing and a 45,000 Euro fee. They claim that by doing that, the French parliament is violating the European Convention of Human Rights and the main freedom of speech.
