Republican MP Armen Ashotyan considers the newly founded “Alternative” NGO as a “very interesting project”. According to him, the NGO’s liberalism ideology works in Armenia and across the globe. “If not during these elections, then perhaps 5 or 10 years later, there will be more and more liberal Armenians due to globalization, the easy access of information and the people coming to Armenia from abroad. So, Armenia will have a liberal world-outlook in the years to come,” says A. Ashotyan. The latter thinks that the existence of liberals in Armenia may help Armenian conservatives. “Do you know that you can differentiate between right and wrong?” said Ashotyan and didn’t really go into detail about who was right or wrong in this case.
