According to “Izvestia”, at the end of last week Georgia had a very important diplomatic victory. For your information, on the previous day before the speech of Saakashvili in the UN, the leaders of 28 NATO member countries announced about their intention to “make intensive dialogues” with Georgia. Politicians call the last phase on the way of obtaining membership in NATO in the abovementioned way. The paper writes as well that the West is interested in providing security for Baku-Jeyhan pipeline in the region, which is not stabile. That security may be provided by NATO and it may activate its relations with Armenia and Azerbaijan as well in the future.
