The American “New York Time” has recently covered the referendum of September 17 in the Near Dnestr, as a result of which over 97% of the population voted for independence and joining Russia in the future. The paper writes that the EU has not recognized the results of the referendum. Meantime, the paper writes that the Russians want to solve the problems of the other regional conflicts in the same way and recommends “to organize referendums in the other three Post Soviet separating territories and define the status of Abkhazia, Osetya that are in the territory of Georgia and Karabakh (this is the territory for which Azerbaijan and Armenia are in war) through referendum”.
