Yesterday the Armenian oppositional political powers that have undertaken a movement named as “anti-criminal” organized a discussion, where they discussed six versions of statements to be made in the future. The last version will be presented on September 27 and will be signed within one day. This movement has recruited dozens of parties. Recently as well as the “Party of Democratic Forces” of Manouk Gasparyan and “Hnchakyan” party joined them. The participants published concrete names connected with criminals yesterday. The head of “New Times” party, Aram Karapetyan, brought specific arguments concerning the arrest of Armen Virabyan (Swartz) connected with the murder of Shahen Hovasapyan. “Isn’t Armen Virabyan the same Swartz that left for Moscow with a group three years ago to do some actions with Serj Jilavyan? Haven’t they found out that it is the same person? I am asking this question to Serj Sargsyan and to the prime minister. How could that person be given such a high position in that structure if they knew all those facts? If they didn’t know that, why are they in those positions? If they knew, it means that the authorities are criminalized and tied with criminal structures”, said A. Karapetyan. During the discussion Garnik Margaryan said that the minister of regional management, Hovik Abrahamyan, has over 50 businesses, over 10 factories, over five car businesses and over 10 wine factories. Besides that, According to G. Margaryan, Hovik Abrahamyan has stocks in several privatized companies such as “Ararat Cement” company, as well as owes lands in Sevan and Hankavan. “How could he earn that much money in this short period? How could a seller of spare parts or a car washing person make so much money and become minister? If he did that legally, they can punish us, if not, they should be punished strictly”, said G. Margaryan. Yesterday the participants said that they would publish names and facts in the future too, but they will do that whenever they think it convenient. By the way, one of the participants, “Rule of Law” member Hovhannes Margaryan recommended the participants to register their properties so that not to be faced with any problems in the future. The participants didn’t consider the mentioned issue so important.
