The Russian foreign affairs minister, Sergey Lavrov has spoken against discussing the issues of the regional frozen conflicts in the UN. “I don’t see that it may help the conflicts settlement. Yesterday concerning the mentioned announcement the head of the Azeri president’s office, Navruz Mamedov said that involving the issue in the discussions of the UN General Assembly would mean to discuss all the problems connected with the fact that Armenia has “occupied” their territories. “In a word, the General Assembly will discuss issues connected with the long-term occupation and the processes that are happening in those territories, as will as issues concerning the failure to fulfill four formulas prescribed by the UN Security Council”, said Mamedov.
