“Yerkir Media” TV news made an announcement, according to which the police had revealed evidence regarding the murder of head of the operative investigation department of the taxation services, Shahen Hovasapyan: “According to our sources, some suspects have been arrested. The prosecutor’s office refused to give any information and said that the investigation was confidential. They only said that two officers of the taxation services had been arrested and were suspected of committing the crime. But we managed to find out that one of the arrested was head of the seventh department of the taxation board, Armen Virabyan, who has also worked as a police officer before. His nick name is “Swartz”. This department is involved in “internal investigation activities”. Based on the news program, they couldn’t find out any information from the police. Shahen Hovasapyan was killed on September 6, at 09:35 in the morning at the Bairon cross-road near the State Conservatory of Armenia and his car was exploded with a remote controller. His son and his driver were in the car as well, but fortunately, they are alive.
