Early in the morning of September 6, someone or a group of people exploded the car (Gaz 3102 model car, identification numbers: 005LL03) of the head of the operative investigation department of the taxation services at the RA government, Shahen Hovasapyan. Shahen Hovasapyan died and his driver, Andranik Charchyan got physical injuries. What’s interesting is that according to the police, the driver was in bad conditions. We were informed by the prosecutor’s office that the driver had got small physical injuries and that they had already persecuted him. At the time of explosion, Shahen Hovasaoyan’s son, Grigor Hovasapyan was also in the car. Fortunately, he didn’t suffer any injuries. In July, 2003, the car of the head of the Erebuni community, Mher Sedrakyan, was exploded just like this. Fortunately, he didn’t die. The criminal case has not been discovered so far and the criminals have not been found. According to our information, the “Gosh Gaz” (GG) gas company belonged to Shahen Hovasapyan. In 2005 Shahen Hovasapyan gave an interview to our newspaper, where he said that he had contacts with that company due to the fact that the owner of that company, who had studied in Rostov city of Russia and had got a ranking for candidate of economical sciences in Germany, was his brother, Haikaz Hovasapyan, while his wife took care of the administrative work. In 2005 the GG owned 11 gas stations. Once the head of the GG, H. Hovasapyan told our correspondent that their company imported 600-650 tons of liquid gas per month, which covered almost half of the entire capacity of imported gas in the market. The Hovasapyans own businesses in two more fields; “Gor and Nune” company functions as a cargo transportation company and “Brave Gor” company produces refreshments and breeds animals. Shahen Hovasapyan told us that his monthly income covered $25k, and his capital did not exceed one million. According to our information, “Forum” restaurant, “Paint World” shop in the territory of Shengavit community of Yerevan and the “MyGrig” wine factory also belong to the Hovasapyans. He used to own stocks in the “Oil-Soap” factory of Yerevan.
