“The intention of the Azeri foreign affairs minister to take the occupied territories back by military operations sounds ridiculous when the minister always says that they are going to do that”, said military expert Uzeir Jafarov in his interview given to “Echo” newspaper. “Defense ministers should not speak such things, but should propose the issue and wait for an order from the authorities to attack”, said the analyst in regard to the announcements of the Azeri foreign affairs concerning taking territories from Armenia through military operations and added that if they started a war, the number of their army soldiers would be 180.000. “Military operations can begin after official announcements”, he said. According to him, Azerbaijan is getting prepared for a new war. He says that Azerbaijan may start a war unexpectedly and later inform the UN and the neighboring countries about it. As for the Azeri army, he said that Azerbaijan has 71,000 soldiers enlisted in the army. “However, it must be over 80.000”. According to the analyst, their land forces are stronger than the other ones.
