On July 24, during a meeting with the activists of the “Prosperous Armenia” party, new names of activists came up, including member of Yerevan Medical University board Vilen Hakobyan and rector of Yerevan Arts academy, Aram Isabekyan. The latter said in his speech that “he could provide thousands of votes and those people would join their party”. Since these two represent universities, I asked the press secretary of the ministry of education, Lilit Galstyan whether they didn’t worry about those announcements. “Aram Isabekyan and Vilen Hakobyan have a right to make their own announcements. To say that they can provide thousands of votes does not mean yet that they can do that due to their positions. First, you should ask them about this, second, you can ask that either from the minister or his deputy. As for me, I can only say that they can hardly make such announcements. By saying “thousands of votes” they probably meant their relatives and friends”, said the press secretary of the RA ministry of education.
