Matthew is not going to make new proposals

“OSCE co-chairman Matthew Bryza is not going to make any new proposals during his visit to Yerevan on July 29”, said RA foreign affairs minister Vartan Oskanyan. “We hope that the American co-chairman will be able to get Azerbaijan to start negotiating again. If Azerbaijan agrees to that, we will have a new opportunity to progress,” assured Vartan Oskanyan. According to him, the situation may get worse if Azerbaijan refuses to negotiate. Although the conflict may be negotiated in 2007, however it may be more difficult due to the upcoming elections. “They can’t come up with another draft agreement. There may be some small changes in the points, but the main principles have to stay the same”, said Vartan Oskanyan.
