The Republican party had invited the head of “Prosperous Armenia” party, Gagik Tsarukyan to the convention, but the latter didn’t attend. Journalists asked A. Margaryan why Mr. Tsarukyan hadn’t attended the meeting, to which he answered, “You can ask him. We invited him. G. Tsarukyan is my friend, we are partners and he has always collaborated with the Republican party. We invited him as an MP because we didn’t really know the “Prosperous Armenia” party administration. He was invited as an MP that supports the government. There could have been technical difficulties, I don’t know”, said A. Margaryan. In response to the question as to whether the Republican party was going to work with “Prosperous Armenia”, he said, “First of all, it is still in the process of formation. We must have some information about them and then decide whether to collaborate or not. Currently we collaborate with some representatives of that party separately, but not with the party as a whole”.
