According to the Karabagh Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the OSCE president’s personal representative’s office has observed the armed forces on the Karabagh-Azerbaijan borderline near the Marzili residential area and northwest from the Kuropatkino residency. The OSCE president’s personal representative Anjey Kasprchik observed the Karabagh army. The group included OSCE Defense field assistants Peter Kein (Great Britain) and Gyunter Folk (Germany).
The observation went as planned, but during the observation in the northwest section of Kuropatkino, OSCE office coordinator Imre Palatinus, who was observing from the Azerbaijani side, mentioned some fires heard a kilometer away from the Azerbaijani side. The missionaries observing the Karabagh side didn’t hear any fires.
“Taking into consideration the fact that the Azerbaijani side has violated the law and brought the OSCE missionaries out to the second line 1.5 kilometers away from the borderline, the Karabagh side has enough evidence to show that the fires were from Azerbaijan,” as stated in the Karabagh Ministry of Foreign Affairs announcement.
The Karabagh Defense Ministry and Foreign Affaris Ministry representatives accompaying the OSCE missionaries have said that in contrast to the rumors spread by the Azerbaijani side about burnings in Karabagh, the observers haven’t witnessed anything like that. The OSCE missionaries continued the observation on July 5 in the Kuropatkino and Ashaghi Veysal residential areas.
