Letter to Condolezza Rice

30/06/2006

The Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) has informed “ARKA” news agency that four senators have sent letters to Condoleezza Rice petitioning to revise the decision of the US Department of State to call US Ambassador to Armenia, John Evans back. The letter was undersigned by George Radanovich, Adam Schiff, Frank Pallone and Joe Knollenberg. According to our information, the Ambassador is going to be called back for using the word “Genocide” during his meeting with Armenian Americans. The letter states that it is not clear why the Ambassador is called back, but if he isn’t called back, then this would show Turkey that it must recognize the Armenian Genocide and change the approach of the U.S.
