The U.S. State Department congratulates Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan for signing a contract enabling Kazakhstan to export its oil through the Baku-Jeyhan pipeline. Based on the contract signed by the presidents of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan in Alma-Ata, Kazakhstan can export 25 million tons of oil through Baku-Jeyhan pipe line.
