On June 23, Ilham Aliev said that he had lost his hope for international organizations and their regulatory mechanisms. According to him, the decisions made by the international organizations stayed on paper, such as the decison made by the UN Security Council to dislocate the military troops based in the seized territories of Karabagh. “Armenia isn’t doing anything about that and we have lost hope for the regulatory mechanisms”, said Aliev. He also said that the lack of achievements makes them revise their approach, “Based on the calculations of internatioanl financing organizations, Azerbaijan will get over 140 billion dollar from oil sales alone. Taking into account the fact that the Karabagh conflcit remains the number one problem for Azerbaijan, we will use that money to strengthen our army so as to make it strong enough to take the occupied territories back at any given time”.
