During a seminar held at the Central Bank on June 14, representative of the Armenian branch of the International Currency Fund (IMF), James Macque, tried to explain that the market was the reason for the devaluation of the dollar and added that it’s not as bad as people say it is. In response to one of the observations that industry has gone down parallel to the evaluation of the dram during the past couple of months, James Macque said, “The GDP rise is more important to me than industry levels.”
