On Saturday, June 10, the executive director and head of the board of directors of Armeconombank, Ashot Osipyan resigned from his position. We asked the bank about this and they confirmed the information. David Sukiasyan who, according to the bank’s official information isn’t a relative of the Sukiasyan family (they also have a shareholding in the bank), was appointed as the new executive director and head of the board of directors. In regard to this resignation, A. Osipyan told “168 Hours” that the only reason for his resignation was the fact that he had worked too long and was tired of doing the same thing. He has worked as executive director and head of the board for over eight years and it’s quite possible that he really got tired of it. He told us that the bank is doing a great job and he thinks that he has completed his mission. Osipyan is going to get another job.
