On June 9, head of the Constitutional Rights Union of Armenia, Hrant Khachatryan, once again asked the authorities to give him a position. This time he asked for the position of head of the RA Central Electoral Commission. This is his third offer this year. In spite of the fact that he has been denied several times, he continues asking them to give him a position and hopes that some day they will get tired of his calls and will give him a position. We asked member of the Justice Alliance Grigor Harutyunyan to explain the behavior of his colleague, to which he answered, “What can people ask from these authorities? It is a shame to ask anything from them”. Later we reminded him that the one that asked a position was an oppositionist, to which he replied, “Who said that he is an oppositionist? You’d better find that out first then ask me. I wouldn’t say that he is an oppositionist. That’s not something an oppositionist would do.t”. In fact, Khachatryan’s colleagues don’t consider him as an oppositionist anymore and this is probably the reason why he is looking forward to being part of the authorities.
