We wonder whether the Russian embargo on Georgian wine and water products will be beneficial for Armenian producers. In response to this question, head of the businessmen’s union Arsen Ghazaryan said that the embargo didn’t mean anything for our economy. He thinks that the other rumors are something like a conversation between drunk people sitting around a table. He thinks that countries can’t rely on the misfortune of other countries, but first of all they should rely on their own products, their quality and competitiveness in the market. “Our products are compatible only in the spectrum where they are called “Products made in Armenia”. For instance, if we compare the markets of water, Georgians’ reputation has always been higher throughout history. And it will be wrong to assume that if Borjomi is taken out of their market they will buy only Jermuk. If we want to develop our products in the European and other foreign markets and sell more, we should first make good advertisements and cooperate with the biggest distribution systems”, said A. Ghazaryan during our conversation. According to him the main criteria that producers must follow is producing goods that meet the relevant demand in the market. “This is the solution that is stipulated by the international economy”, he said.
