Last week a delegation representing the Russian “Strategic culture” foundation headed by its chief Vladimir Maximenko visited Karabakh. They visited soldiers, military bases and met with citizens. Doctor of historical sciences Alexandr Krilov, said that he had been in many post soviet countries and assured that life in Karabakh was better than in many of those countries. “We went out to the Stepanakert square on May 9 and were surprised. There were many young people wearing nice clothes, but they were quiet. This is very good”, said A. Krilov. In response to journalists’ question as to whether the Russia’s approach concerning Karabakh had changed or not, he said that he could only speak about tendencies. “The official approach has not changed yet and rumor has it that the conflict will be resolved within the framework of territorial integrity.”
