On May 7, at 09:15, citizen of Shirak Marz Temur Mangasaryan (born in 1946) committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree in their garden. The reason is the fact that his son, Ararat Mangasaryan (born in 1974), died in the plane catastrophe in Sochi on May 3. His son was leaving for Sochi to work and send money to the family to help improve their financial status. There have been more cases of suicide in Armenia and the main reasons are social and, as they write in their notes, poverty.
