The whole world is waiting for new information concerning the tragic plane crash in Sochi. Officials don’t condemn anyone yet, but in spite of this, news agencies bring up different scenarios, some of which are contradicting each other.
Yesterday the most active one to write about this was the Russian press (foreign mass media writes only on the basis of official information).
According to the Russian “Life” newspaper, the Adler airport has hidden the air navigation officers that were on duty that day. The police and national security services are afraid to arrest anyone because they are afraid that the relatives of the victims may do something with the air navigation officer. As for criminal investigators, they don’t say anything bad concerning the work of the navigation officer yet. According to the Russian legislation on this, only the crew heads of foreign flights are eligible to make a decision whether to land or not. According to the mentioned newspaper, in any case, the relatives of the descended people blame the navigation services in this tragedy. “That night some people spoke about punishing the navigation officer. This is the reason why we decided to give him a vacation. I don’t know where they are now, but I hope they are secure”, said a national security officer.
The criminal investigators keep the conversation of pilots and navigation services secret and this makes the situation worse because the relatives complain that something is hidden from them. “Maybe they didn’t ask how high the plane was flying. Maybe when turning back to the runway the wing of the plane hooked the water and crashed. It is difficult to define how high the plane is flying in rainy weather”, said an old man who had worked in aviation long before.
Everything will be clear as soon as the black boxes are taken out of the water. The Russian transportation minister, Igor Levetin is sure of this. But there are people who say that it is impossible to take the black boxes out. On the other hand they may take big parts of the plane out of water and thus find the black boxes in them. In regard to this, the Russian “Moskovskiy Komsomolets” wrote the opinion of first class military pilot Alexandr Plentsov. “Maybe they have already found the black boxes. When going down during their flight the pilots lost the orientation of distance. The plane turned and after going out of clouds they oriented again in 100 meters and tried to fix the problem, but the back part hooked to the water and the plane crashed. This is where the black boxes are located. Maybe they have already found the black boxes and don’t want to say anything so as not to cause confusion among people”, said Plentsov.
