“H1” National TV channel is not a cheap market

The head of the “H1” national TV channel, Alexan Harutyunyan says that each time the head of “New Times” party, Aram Karapetyan appears on TV, he loses some of his voters which, in fact, are few in number. During the rally yesterday Aram Karapetyan said the following about this: “Let me appear on TV and it doesn’t matter whether I will lose my voters or will be left out of politics generally”. We wonder whether after this announcement the head of the H1 national TV channel will let him appear on their channel. “During the pre-election campaign period, on the basis of the existing law and decisions of the Central Electoral Commission we will give equal time periods to all parties to appear on our channel”, said Alexan Harutyunyan to our correspondent. As for broadcasting out of the pre-election campaign period, he said, “This is not a cheap market to pay and buy what they want”. “I have editorial independence and have a right to decide what to broadcast and not to broadcast. I know what our TV viewers are interested in. No one can set limits on my editorial independence”, said Alexan Harutyunyan and added that he meant both oppositional and governmental parties.
