The Public Services Regulatory Commission postponed the discussion of the water price increase yesterday. It was actually a surprise for the commission to hear head of the state committee on water economy Andranik Andreasyan and director of the “Yerevan Water” joint-stock company Serge Popoff make announcements about the water price increase. The topics for discussion yesterday were supposed to be granting “Yerevan Water” company permission to use the water supply system and turn the 125 AMD for 1 cubic meter into 172.8 AMD. Mr. Andreasyan asked the commission to postpone the discussion.
“There are still some technical difficulties that we must overcome. We have a huge problem with the transformation of property, 30 brand name properties are in circulation and there are some uncertainties regarding some elements. After consulting with company representatives, we came to the conclusion that we had to ask the commission to postpone the session until we get further details.”
As for Popoff, he said that there were some legal issues with the citizens.
