The anti-corruption in Armenia council held a session yesterday headed by head of the council and prime minister of Armenia Andranik Markaryan. Head of the anti-corruption strategy implementation monitoring committee and adviser to the president of Armenia on corruption issues Bagrat Yesayan said that the 20 guarantees given to Armenia by GRECO have been distributed to all the ministries and governmental departments of Armenia and a time schedule has been set based on the responses. A proposal has been made to include the time schedule in the anti-corruption strategy.
B. Yesayan announced that throughout the course of 2004-2007, the 98 projects aimed towards perfecting the Armenian legislative branch, making it correspond to international norms, making reforms in state government, federal budget, the anti-corruption propaganda, the judicial branch, banks, taxing, customs, health, education and other fields have been implemented. The prime minister has assigned the council to put up the list of the anti-corruption implemented projects on the council’s official website.
